how to get WMA files to play in normal CD player - conversion type?

Hey

Excuse this lame question - but I've been scrathing my head for a while - I can't get files that I've ripped to WMA to play on a regular CD player - do I need to convert them to a different file type first? If so, which file type? Is it one that I can use the music converter to convert to?
