how do i get dBpoweramp to use the playlist to play songs?

I started out adding a lot of different folders for various groups since I expected it to switch and play the next folder added. I hit random to see what happened. And it started and would not leave this mode. I had a group entered in the collection window that I did not want to play. So I removed all the tracks. But It is still playing it and seems to be in this random mode even though I turned if off. So I created a playlist. It will play a song in the playlist if i click on a song there, but the next song will be one not in the playlist or the collections. I would like to get this program to use the playlist. I have no control of what the next song played will be. Why?

If are using dAP's playlist editor have you tried clicking on the play or enqueue buttons? Is your playlist correct? Sometimes if files get moved, and the playlist is out of date, dAP will skip those tracks it can not find

If you open MMC you will be able to see, at the bottom, those tracks waiting to play. When you request a playlist to play they should appear here.

As Wayne says, open up MMC and check the tracks that are waiting to play (your en-queued files). dAP (dBpowerAMP Audio Player) and MMC will store tracks in the queue indefinitely until they are either played or cleared. So try right-clicking on your en-queued files and clearing the queue before trying to load and play your playlist.

How did you set the Random Play feature. If you did this by clicking on the Random Play button on the player you may have double clicked on Random Play by accident but if you randomly sorted queued files, you need to clear the queue or listen to the randomly sorted queue until it plays out.

The other strategy that works in this case if you have saved Play List files (m3u files),
use Windows Explorer to find the playlist file, right-click on the file and select Play in dAP. This will automatically clear the queue and start the playlist playing in dAP.

OK I cleared the collection list and it still keep playing the same music and ignores the playlist. Is there a special button to clear the queue. It seem to be in a repeat mode that keeps play the original songs I loaded in the music collection even when load new different songs into the collection.
I need to clear the queue.

What if I allready deleted them. And loaded new songs. How do i delete the queue then. I see no queue songs. Where do they hide?
There should be a button to show the queue and allow you to clear it.
I tried stop and starting it. How about reboot?
Where does it hide this mystery queue of songs to play?
In winamp u could just select a folder of files and it would play them.

The Queue is displayed in the bottom portion of the MMC (My Music Collection) screen.
Right-click on any entry and choose the option to clear the queue.
You can select a file or a set of files (but not an actual folder) with dAP but in the long run you are really much better off loading your music files into MMC (you don't physically move them, adding files to MMC really is just a matter of allowing MMC being able to access the files).
If you select a group of files to play and decide you want to play files from a different folder, you should be able to select the files (you can even select all the files in the folder but not the folder itself) you want to play, right-click on these files and select "Play in dAP." This should clear everything from the queue (if you wanted to add these files to the queue you would select the folder, right-click and select the option "En-queue in dAP").
You may want to check your Help file,
            (Start>All Programs>dBpowerAMP>Help>dBpowerAMP Audio Player Help)
            for further details.
If you don't like messing with either MMC or the Windows Explorer, or if you want greater control over queued items you may want to download and install the QueMaster supplemental program developed by Donny and available for download here:
