    winamp input codec?

    What exactly does this do?

Will it impact winamp at all?

Or does it give the dBpower player the same abilities as winamp (without any
    impact on winamp's player?

    thannks,

    Re: winamp input codec?

Haven't tried it out, since I don't use WinAmp. What it is supposed to do is to allow dMC to decode file formats supported by WinAmp and any WinAmp plug-ins. There are known cases of WinAmp plug-ins that are not supported by the WinAmo input codec.

The dMC input adapter will not affect WinAmp at all.

    Best wishes,
    Bill Mikkelsen

      Interesting!
.ra files would play (if you copy the "Tara.ini" and "Tarawin.bmp" files along with
      the in_tara.ddl file).

      .rm is no go.

.wma files will not play at all (am i missing something on this one?).

For wma you are best with dBpowerAMPs codec.

          Yes.
I just restored the backup copy of multiplayer folder and its fine. I can always
          do ra\rm files in winamp.

I dont know if anyone mentioned this but if you use the default player and
click on the Open Music Files button (Up triangle) then after a file is selected
and the player is back in view, all (most) of the button are blacked out?
Using Drag and drop this dont happen.

          thanks,

Hadn't noticed this til now. Actually, I see some buttons black out at the time that the Open Music window opens up. Running mouse over buttons cures it.

            Thanks for pointing it out.

Yes, they do come back with a mouse passover. Probably just needs a tweak.
