attaching skin to tray control

I found that I am not able to make tray control with two skin windows.
If I hold mouse pointer over the attached skin the tray control scrolls down. There is a button which toggles the display of this skin (User evt). So i cannot make it 'Show While evtdB TrayControl'. Is there any way I can solve this problem?

Re: attaching skin to tray control

You can have two or more skins in the Tray. They all have to have the same command Show While: evtdB TrayControl... unless you have another means of displaying the skin such as a button (with a USERevt), or a skin tab.

You may just want to reset the Tray to Show Position: Last Position. That would keep it from scrolling.

Otherwise you might check:
Z Order. Make Tray the highest value (i.e., Tray=2, Attached=1.)
Check box "Top Most" on both skins.
Assign the attached skin to Show Position: Locked to Primary Window

Hope this is helpful.

Thanks Craze. But it didn't work. I did everything like u said. Making the tray appear at last position didn't help b'coz the it didn't scroll down, but disappeared. Problem is attached skin is not treated as a part of tray control.

Explain a little more about what you are trying to do. I don't seem to be following you. But will be glad to help if I can.

Re: attaching skin to tray control

My tray control is made of two parts(skin windows). Main part is set to show while 'evtdBTrayControl' & other part appears when I click a button on the tray control (I have set it to appear over the tray control as a part of it - it's a color change). The problem is when I hold the mouse pointer over the second skin which is set to show while 'UserevtShowtc' (toggled by a button on tray) the tray control scrolls back as if I am not pointing over it. Hope it's clear now.
Have u ever tried to make a sliding window or something for the tray?
Did it work?
Thanks.

Re: attaching skin to tray control

I've never tried this and I can't recall any skin having this option on the Tray, but it still ought to be possible. The Default Mini basically does this.

I'm away from my pc currently, but what I might try is to reset how the Tray displays so that you can at least keep it from scrolling down while you are working on it.
Instead of Show While: Centered Over Mouse, change it to :Last Position

The disappearing problem sounds like the ol' bug issue some are having with the Tray Control depending upon which operating system you are using. http://forum.dbpoweramp.com/showthread.php?t=5247
See post #13 for my test results.

You may have to click on a blank area on your taskbar or near your clock in order to get the Tray to display correctly.

I'll try to make a slideout for a Tray when I get time and see if I can help you figure it out.

Hi Craze,
Thanks for your response. I don't think it's a bug. It's rather a lack of feature i suppose. But that's not very important. I just wanted to switch between two colors in the skin. i did this successfuly in the main amp. I am posting the skin to spoon now.
Will it be trouble for spoon if I am sending him many skins?
