How to identify Version number of dAP

Hi, as well as just installing dMC (and registering the powerpack) I've installed dAP to make the set <g>. The dAP manual says: "Release 3 of dAP is required for DSP Effects". I read a post by Spoon on 05-06-2004 that Beta 5 is out with a download link. My questions are.

    1. How do you find the version number of the dAP you have installed?

    2. When you download from the author's site, are you downloading only the latest alpha version (i.e. Release xx] or are you downloading the latest version be it beta or alpha? I ask this question because when I clicked on the link provided by Spoon for Beta 5 I wound up at the same download page as for a normal download?

I like the first-look and first-feel of both programs and appreciate the helpful and illustrated manuals that come with each. Being a raw newbie to this music conversion and ripping hobby I'm hoping for a relatively easing learning curve <g>. I'm listening to music with dAP while writing this...love it!!! :smile2:

Re: How to identify Version number of dAP

If you have the latest beta version of dMC (release 11 beta 4) installed launching the dMC Configuration option will provide you with a list of dBpowerAMP objects installed and what versions they are.

I am currently running with dAP release 3 beta 4 which can also be determined when running the dAP menu. The beta versions were obtained from the beta forum and I downloaded them whenever I see that Spoon has produced an update.

Once they have completed beta testing Spoon will officially release them and they will become available on the normal download page(s).

Thanks for the reply Wayne I now know where to look. Guess I've been too used to looking for version numbers via a program's menu Help >> About.

I've downloaded and installed dMC R11 beta 4 and dAP R3 beta 4. Guess its time to get my feet wet.
