I think one other person (June) had this problem, two people means I will look into it in depth.

Try this test please, load my Music Collection, Add a folder of tracks, select Collection >> Save as:

    Save it to C:\Test

    then select Collection 'New'

Set the new collection to use C:\New

Select Collection >> Load and load Test

    does it loose the tracks?

      thankyou for your reply.
I did the test you said.
      It looses the tracks!

When i saved it in C,it came up as "test.mcc"
"test.mcc" is still in C ,but it doesnt load up the songs.
      Please help again.
Is this just me? I thought it would of been easier to load up different music collection lists.
      Thank You.

Please send me an email (with a little description) and I will give you a test version to try out that should tell me what is happening.

Since we last spoke about this, I've reloaded a fresh version of Windows and the problems seems to continue. The music collections get moved around into the wrong files the more you try to open them. Then after several tries they disappear and the files are empty.

In my old OS the song folders showed up as file names only, ie. 1960's songs. Now that I reloaded W2k I see the .mcc suffix, ie. 1960's songs.mcc.

I'm starting to wonder if I'm maybe trying to use the function the wrong way. If I have a list of songs open in Music Collection, I click on "collection", then "clear all tracks", then "load" so I can load a different batch of songs. Perhaps I shouldn't be hitting the "clear all" button ?

Also I have tons of multi-media stuff installed on the computer, including an ATI TV board, so perhaps there's a conflict there. I do know that the ATI board conflicts with Goldwave when they're both open, it causes the TV program listing to open and quickly close if they're both opened.

You shouldn't really press 'Clear All' unless you want to wipe out your existing collection. You are able to just 'Load' a new collection in.

I think the last time I tried just "load", it left the old playlist there, and added the new playlist to it. That's why I started using the "clear all".....But let me try things again for a few days and I'll let you know how it goes.

                    Perhaps I'm doing things wrong?

What do I do to get rid of the first batch of songs when I'm finished listening to them ? I always click "clear all tracks"....is that right, or is there another way to eliminate the old songs before you load the new songs into the playlist ?

How you do it is upto you, but really My Music Collection is not a playlist - rather a randomizer - for a playlist look at 'P' button on the main amp.

By worked, you mean the files loaded back in?
