It takes only about 1 second per file but not all of the file gets converted. Some files make it through but many are truncated.

What are the settings for the m4p files you are trying to convert and what are the settings for the AAC files you are trying to create?
What steps are you taking to attempt these conversions?
My guess is that your problem is related to digital rights management issues with the m4p format, which is designed to discourage copying. There is an item on this issue in the FAQ section of this forum for dBpowerAMP Music Converter and a very lengthy thread in the Wishlist section of this Forum for dBpwoerAMP Music Converter. But with the answers to the questions above, we should be able to determine the nature of your problem more accurately.
