This is just to let you know that very recently my dAP (r 2) has decided to halt at the end of many mp3 files. Some it will play and go on to the next track, others it will not. It may play an mp3 file and go on playing one time but the next time the same track is playing it may stop in midstream. The problem does not seem to occur with my ogg or mpc files.
I have tried changing my output from Wave out to Direct X (lost all sound, had to go back to Wave Out. I tried reinstalling the "factory settings" using Spoon's download for same. No change.
I believe this may be related to having downloaded and installed dMC r 11 beta 2 (in light of it having a new wave decoder, the sequence of events in that it never happened before then but started happening not too long after, and because I have a bit of a trust issue where betas are concerned, my many ok experiences with Spoon's betas notwithstanding).
Let me know if you think I'm overlooking something. In the meantime I'm going to try to see if I can find out more about this problem, including seeing whether the dAP r 3 beta 5 release will do any better (since it shares the same mp3 encoder).
Best wishes,
Bill Mikkelsen
PS-Since posting I have installed dAP r3 beta 5 and the problem has gone away. But I'm back to dMC r 10.1 si I can't be sure the dMC beta is to fault or not.
