sony will be realeasing a software called "wave converter" that will convert atrac to wav file

That's interesting! You say Sony is releasing S/W to convert their Atrac to wav?! I called their Tech Support in Toronto the other day and they were adamant that their was no way you could do it other than trying to go out from analogue to your sound card.
I bought the unit from the Sony Store in Halifax NS, and they didn't tell me to forget recording your own music and being able to download it to you PC for edit and conversion. The sonicStage s/w won't let you. And Tech support didn't mention an up-coming converter. Do you know of any software that will convert from Atrac to Mp3, wav, etc., in the meantime?

I have been unable to make the above mentioned converter work. I always get the error message, "Failed to connect source filter (omg_src) to dest filter (omg transform)"

There are only two files in my unzipped folder. Should there be more? Any suggestions appreciated.

I aslo get this error message. It's nice to learn that ATRAC is superior to MP3. But MP3 just happens to be the standard, so ATRAC is pretty useless if it can't be converted. Please help us!
