Player stopped randomizing

Hi.
First, I'd like to think I've done all the obvious stuff, from exiting the program to rebooting.

The problem is, for MONTHS I had my almost 2,500 songs/collection playing and it did a wonderful job of randomizing.

Last week I created a new collection (maybe 30 songs), listened to it, and a few days later re-loaded my original collection. Well first I couldn't get the bloody 'new' collection to relinquish the spotlight. And when I did get the 2,500 loaded, it only wants to play from A-Z.

I've recreated it, did the stuff above, and basically I think I've pressed every button possible.

So what have I missed?

On the Main amp window, make sure Random Play is pressed down, and that there is no selective play loaded.

I have done EVERYTHING I can think of - selective play is not pressed, random is. I've gone into selective play and unticked everything and also pressed 'No Selective Play.' I've gone into the playlist, the collection, everywhere. And it's still playing A-Z.
