    Other Sounds in Windows

I'm running v2 on a Windows 2000 system. everything was working great until yesterday. All of a sudden, when I'm runned dbpowerAMP, no sounds will play in other programs. Normally, this wouldn't be a problem, but this is my machine at work and I have sounds for emails, instant messages, etc. for when i'm not at my desk.

The sounds all work fine if dbpowerAMP is off, but once it's on, they are gone again.

I tried unistalling/reinstalling, but I am having the same problem.

I have v2 running with WMA v9 codecs and dMC.

    Any ideas??

just an update...since i first posted this question, i tried uninstalling/reinstalling all components..uninstalling, completely deleting the "illustrate" folder, and reinsalling, and upgrading to the latest beta release. i still have the same problem. no sounds will work from other programs while dbpowerAMP is open.

i really love the program and hope to get this resolved so i can keep using it...

    thanks!

It shouldn't be a problem with dbPowerAmp. Have you tried with other players? Like do you still lose all windows sound using Windows Media Player? or Foobar? or Winamp?

Might have something to do with the drivers to your sound card more than the player itself.
