currently i don't think assigning skins to multiple categories can be done yet. i will add it to the developers suggestion forum.

the important thing is that the complete list is always avaiable and that you can search the forum for skins...

anyway I see the skin is uploaded, I have also edited it a bit, as you asked, changed a few lines in the desc. and added a few keywords...

I thought it was easy to upload it - but I'm not sure if I can be the one who will rate that - being that I have a lot of expirience about that stuff...

thanks Donny, for the most part it will at least have to be easy for all the skinners here to understand how it works.

and for the non skinner who just wants to download a skin it must also be easy to find and download the skin they want.

should we now re-submit the skins to the new skin site? and what about the skins you've already added, should we submit those too, cause they are currently listed as 'by Razgo'

no not yet. i need to do some more testing and thinking about it. and then it needs Spoon input and official stamp of approval on it before anything happens. i still have to hear from Narler's analytical/critical eye yet too.

when i think it is right i will invite Spoon to go over it and put his thoughts forward. i just need to summerize it all yet.

Narler has just found what i call a minor security issue with the software. i have reported it as a bug to the developers. so i need to wait on the verdict of this outcome.

yeh it's not a huge issue but is something i want to see the developer clean up on. it was something he stated that he implemented to protect against malicious users. problem is it doesn't work, so i haven't heard back yet to see what's being done about it.

it's pretty sad really that a security bug can go on for so long after it has been identified.

well it would be a mistake to take a forum we know that is problematic....
and I also wanted to ask about the number of downloads - will it be somehow implemented, or will the old site be still active for this?

well you seem to be the only one chomping at the bit with enthusiasm on this :D , and that's a good thing .

it's not so much there is a small problem with the software but more to do with the lack of good support behind the software. as all software has it's issues.

the funny thing is i think the owner of techimo.com is the also the owner of photpost and reviewpost software. should you ask for support on other topics on techimo.com forums the help is never ending and very friendly.

i think the problem might be there is only one developer for all the different software applications and he might be struggling with that. i'm really not sure.

bottom line is even with a not so great technical support, the reviewpost software would serve as the best pratical and functional way of handling skins.

i need to be satisfied enough myself before going to the next stage. and i am 99% happy with it.

as it stands now there is no download count/statistic. only how many times viewed. download stastistics i could work out later how to do.

"if" we go with this new skin site which is entirely up to Spoon, then perhaps the 2 would be kept opened for a while before the other got shut down.

that's true, but you have a completly different attitude. and you never let posts go unanswered. actually i don't know how you do it, but perhaps i am expecting too much from this other deveoper as you have certainly "raised the bar" and set a high standard on how you work

so it's good that I'm the only one with entusiasm?
