Annoying noises when playing Ogg with dAP

Ok guys, someone must have an answer!

I am running SetiAtHome (the command line version) on my home computer.

If I try to listen to music using dAP while at the same time running Seti, I can hear crackles, pops and noises in the music as it plays. As soon as I turn off Seti, everything is back to normal. What gives?

I already checked the priority levels and Seti in at low while dAP is at high, so no problem there.

I am running WinXP Pro Service Pack 1.. My sound card is a Sound Blaster Audigy running latest web drivers using SPDIF digital output to a decoder. I have 512Meg of RAM, and the CPU is a 1GHz Athlon T-Bird... shouldn't be any problem there.

The audio files are Ogg Vorbis 256kpbs.

I really don't know what's going on, somebody must be able to help? Thanks!

Perhaps hardware interferrance from driving the hardware?

How often are the pops & crackles?

I've tried it with WinAMP and WIndows Media Player too now.

WinAMP does the same thing, cracks for about 0.5 seconds every 3-4 seconds

WMP is affected too. And there is no difference no matter what priority level I set it at, same goes for Winamp and DAP.

I just tested by converting a single file to MP3, and that MP3 did it again.

What soundcard have you got Razgo?

Could it be a problem only with soundblaster cards? Mine being an Audigy... hmm

I've read somewhere that Creative's got very crappy driver support.. Maybe that's the problem?

                Problem fixed!

I installed the Audigy2 drivers on my Audigy soundcard. Works like a charm! Performance is drastically improved, and every utility of the Audigy2 works very well on an Audigy :D
