Yes I like it too...
I only miss a way to start a new thread from the skinsite... and maybe some easier linking between the forums and the skinsite... so it would feel a bit more integrated... and If you need graphics for it just let me know, I'd love to do them.
BTW you really don't wanna miss my next skin... it's getting really hot!!! It is still a few weeks until all completed but keep a lookout for it...Comment

I have another suggestion also...
Since there are so few skin submissions I think it could be a better choice to have "New" in downloads section actually display the most recently added skins... similar to how "Popular" works...
(and perhaps MMC on a separate download list?)...Comment

MMC is on a seprate download list in the downloads. to sought by most recent added in the download section just click on "date a/d " D for decending will show from last to first added.
but if you are talking about the side bar colum showing "matrix mmc new" there is not much i can do about that.
it really isn't a safisticated download software application.Comment

and no one has commented on this download software: http://forum.dbpoweramp.com/showthre...?t=2510&page=2Comment

I only thought of a big fat button that says dBPowerAMP on the skin site and a similar thing on the dAP site that says dAP Skins and contains a link... Now I'm really not any expert on how these things work, but a link must be possible I guess...
Since the Skin download forum closed some new users may not easily find the new Skin site (-there isn't any link there that I could find anyway). I'm thinking that the skins may possibly attract some new users to stay with dAP... that is one of my main motivations for doing the skins anyway
All in all I think that the new skin site is a great step forward... :DComment

i can simply modify the language/dictionary file to reflect the words "skins" instead of "producr" and "author" instead of "manufacurere" etc...
have a look at it and tell me what you all think.
i try to keep withinn Spoons way of thinking. and that is to keep it simple and user friendy, and accessible.
I think? this software meets those criteria?
i think i have to concede that the current skin site really isn't for people new to the internet and downloading.Comment

Well I didn't have money spending in mind... and I'm not capable of determining if a software of that type is going to improve anything on its own... I was just thinking of a bit more connectivity for now...
I have had a look at a few different sites to get a better idea how to express what I'm thinking in terms of making the dBPowerAMP sites easier to navigate in... One good example is the way the WA sites are structured... All of the available site page navigation is placed in the head of the start site, in a rather easily graspable and compact way... but since that is a major change to make and it could take some serious planning and time to carry through... I would like to come back to you about this if you care to have a deeper discussion on the subject
A more simple suggestion for right now could be: Where it says Categories Menu, it could say:
dBPowerAMP Programs
· dAP Music Player
· dAP Power Pack
· dCW CD Writer
· dMC Music Converter
· dMC Accurate Rip
· Codec Central
· Sveta Portable Audio
· (+any I've missed?)
(and a second menu head: )
dBPowerAMP Resourses (or something similar... perhaps more understandable)
· Downloads Central
· Support
· Forum
· Guide
· Beta Releases
· Developer
· (+any I've missed?)
...with just the links to these pages... could be a sort of easy access and userfriendly help for now, I think?Comment

I would agree with most of the propositions that BestRip gave, I have no more additions to the list(although I waven't studied it too much). This could probably add to easier surfing round the site... for free...
And about the review site: I have took a look at it. It seems nice and well integrated, I guess that download links for the skins next to the review are posibble and everything, just I (like BestRip) didn't think of spending money, just timeComment

thanks for all the feed back . i must concede though i think Spoon had a better foresite than me when it came to creating a seperate skin site community.
the thing is, time and experience is the teacher here. when i badgered Spoon to death about doing a seperate skin community site i guess i was looking way down in the future with an expanding communtiy. i tend to go like a bull at a gate where "let's do it now" and let's use the latest gizmo's out there is the order of the day.
where Spoon is concervitive and consistant, and take things slowly one step at a time. and that's what's obviously proving to be more effective here.
so i am taking a long hard look at whether the new skin site is really effective and in keeping with what's going on here.
and the forum being the "hub" and "blood flow" for dbpoweramp, made me take another look at how to properly represent the skin community.
this is why i was taking another look at other options like the reviewpost software which intergrates into this forum. it intergrates but at the same time will clearly be seperate and more searchable friendly when looking at or for different skins.Comment
