    Glad you liked the review.
I do think that the split slider design was a clever way to work in the 20 band EQ while trying to stick to the original WinAmp skin. And I don't have a ready idea as to how that could have been accomplished otherwise unless you left the skin EQ at 10 bands but made the Graphic EQ from the Options menu 20 bands (speaking of which, why hasn't someone made a 20 band EQ for the EQ from the Options menu or have I missed something?).

      What did I miss?
(I have not been able to find any review outside what has been said in this thread:confused:...)
One thing I have missed is to thank you all - xoas, Razgo and Paddy! for the appreciation and support shown... I think it may be a little oddity about not really being the original creator of the artwork that may have made me extra (out of the ordinary) insensitive/unresponsive to the things said here... Perhaps still a bit uncertain about the morals about this type of activity:rolleyes: but I also still think it is better shared than not. (Thank you Imre)

Enbarrasing... that I had not seen this before.
Thank you Bill and Donny for these great reviews!!!!!:D:D:D:D:D
It is invaluable feedback on the skins, reading what is liked and not liked about them. Serves well in trying to make a skin as good as possible - in several aspects. (and may I add again, that I'm very interested in suggestions and requests... if there is anyone having an idea on something they would like to see in a skin, e-mail me or post it on these boards)
          Thank you!

As to suggestions: I have tended to float these about in various reviews as they occur (inspired by the specific skin). You might want to consider the idea the Craze-The Studio skin gave me of a skin which featured a large subscreen which could alternately show the EQ, MMC (resized, of course), Playlist Editor, and so forth. Or you might want to consider the idea I had from Donny's Stereo Ga Ga skin for a full size screen that would use the scope or waveform displays (multiplied and rotated) to create a visualization screen.
            Best wishes,
            Bill Mikkelsen

              Great... feedback!!!
On the large subscreen idea, I like it, but there are some things that I have no idea how to do... the MMC for instance is unavailable for skinning as regards to size or placement in a USER-defined skin part... (unless you know programming... and I REALLY don't) It sits where it sits (decided by Spoon) and the things I could get my hands on was the buttons and color scheme of specific items.
Playlist editor is fixed in size and button positions... and which buttons. Of course I could make my own Prev. played/and so on, but then I would not know how to access the database info on the tracks... These things have been programmed by Spoon and I think that even if I could do some programming that it may be destructive to dAP... getting into a code package that I think may be a bit closed... Spoons area)
There is a GREAT pluspoint to this; the program is exceptionally stable relative to others, none mentioned, but when trying to make the screenshots for N-Log the program crashed several times (which it has done several times before too...) and that is a RELEASE version of the not mentioned program... Spoons BETA versions are more stable and have NEVER crashed for me...
I like the ideas and I think that the resizable windows and layout of the unmentioned programs playlists are quite nice... Visualizations are great and I hope dAP will have more such features available shortly Spoon has promised
Skinning dAP is a venture into a rather restricted area of many specific rules that are not always very easy to understand, (and here I have to thank Narler again for his tutorial, which is great!) but the BIG FUN of it is to find ways around and be creative within these bounderies

It has crossed my mind to make to playlist editor resizeable, just need to figure out how to do it in a compatible way.

Also it clould be nice to be able to set the font and font size... Generally be able to pass more parameters to dAP from Skin Designer and if not done, default settings?

                    Re: N-Log skin

                    Hi BestRip,

Thanks for porting such a great skin to dap! Would it be possible to create a hi-res version of the N-Log skin? I'm currently running the skin on a screen with native resolution of 1600 x 1200 and the song titles, etc are quite small.

                    Cheers

                      Hi
Happy to hear you enjoy this skin...
It would be possible to make a larger version of the skin, but it is a bigger task to take on than the original skin creation, but mostly out of respect for the original creation/and creator, I think it is better to leave it as is.
I'm noting the request for bigger texts for coming versions of my own skins
