    EQ values for the 20 band

    Hi Spoon,

    Ages ago (before you implemented the new EQ code) we were talking about the frequency range of the EQ's, mainly the 20band. You mentioned the 20band was 1/2 increments of the 10band.

    Is this still correct with the latest EQ Code?.

    Can you supply a specific list of frequencies used by the 20band?

    Currently the 10band EQ is listed as 60hz, 170hz, 310zh, 600hz, 1K, 3K, 6K, 12K 14K and 16K.

    Thanks
    cya

    Taken stright from code:

    lbc[0] = lpreamp * GetEqdBValue(StoredGraphicEQ.Position[0]); // 55 Hz
    lbc[1] = lpreamp * GetEqdBValue(StoredGraphicEQ.Position[1]); // 77 Hz
    lbc[2] = lpreamp * GetEqdBValue(StoredGraphicEQ.Position[2]); // 110 Hz
    lbc[3] = lpreamp * GetEqdBValue(StoredGraphicEQ.Position[3]); // 156 Hz
    lbc[4] = lpreamp * GetEqdBValue(StoredGraphicEQ.Position[4]); // 220 Hz
    lbc[5] = lpreamp * GetEqdBValue(StoredGraphicEQ.Position[5]); // 311 Hz
    lbc[6] = lpreamp * GetEqdBValue(StoredGraphicEQ.Position[6]); // 440 Hz
    lbc[7] = lpreamp * GetEqdBValue(StoredGraphicEQ.Position[8]); // 622 Hz
    lbc[8] = lpreamp * GetEqdBValue(StoredGraphicEQ.Position[9]); // 880 Hz
    lbc[9] = lpreamp * GetEqdBValue(StoredGraphicEQ.Position[10]); // 1244 Hz
    lbc[10] = lpreamp * GetEqdBValue(StoredGraphicEQ.Position[11]); // 1700 Hz
    lbc[11] = lpreamp * GetEqdBValue(StoredGraphicEQ.Position[12]); // 2.4 KHz
    lbc[12] = lpreamp * GetEqdBValue(StoredGraphicEQ.Position[13]); // 3.5 KHz
    lbc[13] = lpreamp * GetEqdBValue(StoredGraphicEQ.Position[15]); // 5 KHz
    lbc[14] = lpreamp * GetEqdBValue(StoredGraphicEQ.Position[16]); // 7 KHz
    lbc[15] = lpreamp * GetEqdBValue(StoredGraphicEQ.Position[17]); // 9 KHz
    lbc[16] = lpreamp * GetEqdBValue(StoredGraphicEQ.Position[18]); // 14 KHz
    lbc[17] = lpreamp * GetEqdBValue(StoredGraphicEQ.Position[19]); // 19 KHz

      Thanks Spoon,

      I never liked making the 20band eq's without being able to list frequency range.

      ta.

      ps. sorry bout the unregistered post, i forgot i cleared cookies and therefore hadn't logged in before posting.

            Hi Spoon,

            Is it just me or are there 2 missing?

            EQ position 7 (between 311 hz and 440 hz)
            EQ Position 14 (between 3.5 kHz and 5 kHz)

            Thanks

                hehehe.

                Phew.. for a second there, I thought it was my adding up ! :.)

                ok well for the extra 2 positions on the eq, i'll just make up a value for them on my new skin. (which is out now).

                  any updates on making the 18 band eq a 20 band? i'm not game enough to use all the new EQ featuers yet because they will be all out of plum when the 2 missing frequencies get added.

                    Re: EQ values for the 20 band

                    I have noted it down to change, basically the really good eq I have is just 18 band, so to extend to 20 band I would map in those other two - think of drawing a line on a piece of paper and taking 18 points from it.

                        Re: EQ values for the 20 band

                        just wanted to point out that for me the use of a full 20 band EQ is more about when playing different types of classical and simalar complicated type music. the more EQ frequencies for fine tuning, the better.

                        but for rock/pop/hip hop etc... i only need to do small tweeks and for the most part a 10 band EQ is satisfactory.
