    Search box and playback issues.

    Hello.

I just downloaded dbpowerAmp a couple of days ago and I am really impressed. I have been using winamp for ever now and really like it. I didn't think I would ever change my mp3 player. But then I came across a review of this program and I really had to give it a go. The library function is awesome and the search function works really fast, wich has been a problem with other players.

The program has been very satisfying, but there has been two issues.

    1. The search box will not purge it self when the text already there is marked and tried typed over. What happens insted is that my new search will be typer as another layer over my previous search. This doesn't affect the seach it self, but it is rather confusing as I can't see what I'm typing.

    2. Suddenly the player just won't play. No errors or nothing, I will just hit play and the file will be loaded but I will act as if paused, even when it's not. When this happens my computer will refuse to play any sound whatsoever, not even in other players. Sometime the problem fixes itself but other times a re-boot is all that'll work.

I am running Windows XP prof. edition. And have been running the r2. version of dbpoweramp, but I have also tried the latest beta version with unfortunately the same issues.

I am suspecting that these problems might not have anything to do with the program, but maybe some error in XP or codec or something.

    Any thoughts/suggestions?

Sorry for a lengthy post, thanks for all replies.

I have this now that I have changed video cards (Radeon), I suspect it is the card drivers, as it worked perfectly fine with my last video card.

For 2, try setting the other output method (dAP Options Menu >> Amp >> Output To).
