At one time I have downloaded about 18 skins for this program which I burned on cd. I even found the beta 6 release 3 version. I want to have all the skins just for a catalog. I have quite a few that I downloaded last year. But none of the servers have the skins anymore. I went to the aussiecommunity.com.au/forum and selected the download new and exciting skins here and it just goes to the musicplayers club. I read some posts on the forum on aussiecommunity which claim that the skins are still on the music players club server. I do not know the exact link. But when it goes to the music players club site, it just says the site will be coming back soon. And the old server skins.dbpoweramp.com has been deleted too. On the aussie community forum I read that in 2009 July that they were going to move the skins to the new server, but they have not. And I cannot access any forum reading from the music players club. Anyone know the exact link or have an ftp directory in which I can download them. Or is it because the development of Renissance that the skins directory has been deemed obsolete?

Re: Are the SKINS gone for GOOD?
If I recall correctly, there wa a decision a few years back to remove the dAP skins from this forum because they were using up a lot of bandwidth for the forum website. Razgo, who was then Moderator for the the dbpoweramp.com forums created a new website, first at aussiecommunity and then the music players club. I had not been there for some time. My experience today was the same as yours. Perhaps Razgo or some of the other skin designers (BestRip, Craze, Narler, Donnie and Archon, et al) might be able to shed more light on this.
To the best of my knowledge, I do not expect the skins to return to this site. Even if the bandwidth issue has been resolved, Spoon's efforts are going into the newer dbpoweramp products (from Music Converter 12 and later). There has been talk of eventually developing a GUI for Renaissance and I am looking forward to this. At the same time, historically the skins for dAP were really very much a labor of love largely on the part of a few very creative souls who took it upon themselves to create the skins and on the part of Razgo who took it upon himself to help nurture their efforts.
In the meantime you might try Googling trms like dbpoweramp audio player skins, BestRip skins for db audio player, etc. You might find a few live links for repopulate some of your skins. Of the few I've tried I'll offer up this one download (for the Matrix skin) here:
and I believe that Donnie's site might have a few other live links for some of his skins and, perhaps Archon's as well (I know there are descriptions and illustrations there).
What download links you find, you might want to share here for others who, like me, are still clinging to dAP.
Best wishes,

Re: Are the SKINS gone for GOOD?
Xoas, even the Matrix link you just posted does not even work. It goes to filestube but when you try to download it, just a yahoo search comes up. No skin.
HOWEVER--Donny left ONE skin on quemaster that is called Queen. It is located at:
Get it while you can. But this is all I could download. The other references to the other skins he has done has broken links or it refers you to the old aussiecommunity or skins.dbpoweramp.com. However, Queen is still on quemaster and can be downloaded today. I just did. Get it now before he takes it down.Last edited by dmcKEAN; November 22, 2009, 01:02 AM.Comment

Re: Are the SKINS gone for GOOD?
Thanks for the heads-up.
I believe I have about 30 dAP skin installation files (salvaged from a computer which died on me) I could try sending (a few at a time) if you would like to try them. If so, send me a private message and a list of the skins you are interested in, and an e-mail address. I can't promise that these will work (another reason to try a few at a time).
Best wishes,

Re: Are the SKINS gone for GOOD?
Need a dAP skin?
NOTE: Send Private Message from Aussiecommunity forum only as it's email notification process still works. dBpowerAMP PM does not do email notifications.
Thanks.

Re: Are the SKINS gone for GOOD?
Hi guys, its good to see everyone still alive and well
Yes due to personal circumstances and ill health i was no longer able to put any focus on the dbpoweramp club.
However if there is still interest I have re opened http://www.musicplayerclub.com/
I will give Craze super mod status so he can keep an eye on things.
Mostly its just spam that comes slips in and needs to be removed or let me know if the site has errors etc...
If there is any significant degree of interest i can upgrade the music forum to the latest vbulletin suite which turns it into a full content management system which is really cool. articles can be posted etc...

Re: Are the SKINS gone for GOOD?
Craze & Razgo-
It is good to hear from both of you.
Thank you both for helping out here.
I was surpried to find that I have about 50 different dAP skins (I would have sworn there weren't much more than 20 different skins). It is another illustration of the amount of work (as well as the creativity and generosity) displayed by the dAP skinning community over the years.
Thank you for making these public again.
Best wishes,

YYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA AAAAAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY!
That is awesome. Thanks Razo, Bill, and Curt for making this all happen.
Maybe in the future some of the code skins can be transferred to a Rennisance skin?
