no need to re send version 2. as i assume it was compiled with the latest skin designer.

but if you can re compile your version 1 and email it to me at music@optusnet.com.au I will update that also on the site.

It's best to keep both for download as one is 10 band EQ and the other is 20band. i will make a note of that difference as well.

or you can go through the submit download on the new site. it doesn't allow for uploads so if you can't upload it anywhere to supply the link just email me the skin, but you can still fill out the rest on the submit download section.

            Hi Spoon,

There is no urgency about that, my concern is more for other users, (maybe in particular ones that issue ones in ratings) since I know rather well myself how the skin works...
Congrats' on the new skin site... hopfully it will encurage more skinners to contribute to your GREAT program
To Razgo... I sent you booth of the skin files and filled in the form, hope you got it all?

BestRip, I have updated your skins on the new skin site.

I see you added 2 new downloads but somewhat confusing for me. I easily get confused :D

what you wrote is more of a statemnet on your skins?

just for reference note, at anytime you want to "modify" what is said about your skin in the downloads section, you should see a "modify" button. it is there you can change things and submit it.

please do test it out, as it's all a learning curve and not easy to see everything at first.

another note is about the version numbers is I have named "all" skins that were recompiled with skin designer 4 with a version number of 2.0 . this was so i wouldn't get confused with updating all the skins.

so the end result would be all skins in the end will start with version 2.0 . so any modification of a skin on version 2.0 would be 2.1 2.2 2.3 etc....

so to "modify" the text for dAP-Skin-dAPDOS-XTv2 you would do it here: Modify just click the modify button.

i hope i have shed a little bit more light on it.

to get to the downloads is a two click process. Spoon made that really big picture called "Download" which will then show you 3 sections 1. MMC 2. Skins 3. Skin Software.

I think it can be changed to show download page as the home page, but not sure how it would look. winamp skins downloads page is good. unfortunatley i don't have the php/sql skills to design such a page, so i went the easy way with php-nuke.

but it may just be a case of getting used to it.

                    how to include readme

You were talking of how you can't inserta readme that would later could be read again...
well you can save it at the skin folder so when making skin install it will be packed and the users can read it later if they want...

I never thought of that. good idea donny. is it possible to create a button on the skin that will call up this help file for the skin? which would make it a bit easier.

                          Hi Razgo

See you found it! Re-enter the ad by pressing the text below time, then press the "My computer" symbol then again exit the ad through trash or upper right x. The desktop folder on the right (in the ad screen) will get you into the same type of trouble with same remedy procedure... Hope this was understandable:happy:

OK great, I just checked and it will do that.
However if you re-enter the "Ad" "Take me out of this dark age, please" text that appears at mouse over.. and clicked, the scopes will re-appear. To get out of them before leaving the "Ad", use the "My computer" resp. "desktop folder" symbols

well if you want it on a button then you can make a new credits window (like in my Matrix skin, Alchemists Pioneer skin..) but it does limit you with the space....
