    switching problem

    hi....
lately a new "problem" has popped up. when the player is up with the equalizer shown and i try to switch to another window the equalizer still shows in the current window. this happens with the default skin and studio pro II which are only 2 skins i have / use.

if i use the minimize button or if i click the task bar icon twice it will minimize the player and the eq. but if i use the alt-tab to switch windows the equalizer stays up... this dosn't happen with just the player up.

    any ideas?

          Re: switching problem

I wasn't aware of this previously but I can confirm the existence of this. However, it seemes to be ver strange. At first this occurred as described with every skin I tried at first (Default, GoldenAMP, Black Beauty and, in a strange variant of the problem with the BestRip CDred) until I tried the Beyond skin by Donny (which worked properly). Then I tried the 3D Wood skin (which also worked properly) and the BestRip CDAlyssa skin (which worked despite seeming to have the same basic design framework as BestRip CDred). So then I went back to the BestRip CDRed skin and that worked properly. So then I retested the skins that showed this problem and they all worked OK also.

When I turned dAP off and re-booted, the problem occurred again but disappeared after I tried the 3D Wood skin. Then the skins that I had tried worked properly again.

I again turned dAP off and restarted it. The problem occurred again with a few skins until I tried the Beyond skin. That skin worked and after this the other skins I had tried worked OK again.

It appears that there is some obscure registry setting that is mis-set for some skins in a way that results in the EQ remaining when alt-tab is used to minimize dAP. It appears thaat not all skins feature this problem and that once one of these skins is used the registry setting re-corrects for all the other skins until you turn dAP off. Go figure.

          Best wishes,
          Bill

            Re: switching problem

This really is a weird conlcusion. I know there were some similar bugs in some older versions of dap, where there were problems with window drawing in certain circumstances, but not like this.

I was not able to repeat this behaviour, though I tried to turn on and off dap in different settings. Which should mean there is something else connected with it.

            Good tests Xoas
