Everytime I shutdown my laptop by playing shutdown computer.shutdown WinXP seems to shut down fine but when I power up the next time, the check disk screen comes up. The results of check disk say that there aren't any corrupted files found. But is this normal? Usually when I run .shutdown, I still have my personal firewall and virus scanner running in the background could this be the reason WinXP isn't shutting down properly?
