I recently upgraded my sound system to the following specs: A soundcard that supports digital spdif passthrough at 24 bits is hooked up by to a receiver with a good D/A converter, capable of 24 bits. It plays through a pair of Bose 901's.
Because each of the Bose speakers is in a different part of the room with different reflection characteristics, I realized that I need to use different equalizer settings for each. I can't use an analog equalizer component because my connection to the receiver from the sound card is digital. That means that I need to do my equalization in software. Is there any way to get dAP to do it? If not, is there software that you could recommend?
Ideally, it would have 10+ bands per channel and would resample to 24 bits before doing the equalizing. Then it would pass this 24 bit signal to my sound card.
Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.
