Help Needed With Coaxial Digital Line Recording

Well i gotta Nokia OnDigital box with coax digital out, i take the coaxial digital line-out to the coax-in on my (M-Audio) Audiophile 2496 soundcard works perfect except, when recording to "dBpoweramp line-in" using "Lame MP3 Codec" the playback is slowww in Winamp3, so i thinks sample rate input from Nokia box, 44khz 16bit stereo, even tried 48khz on dbpoweramps input, and compression rates 64 mono 128 joint stereo 256 joint stereo, mixer recieves signal fine, but playbacks still slow, i am sure the sample rate FROM the Nokia box is 44khz 16bit stereo, every other input works fine no matter what the compression rate, now i am confused.

Also checked my compression codecs in properties i have a Fraunhofer Pro codec installed , the Lame one dose not show up in the list? although it does show up in dBpoweramp? i need to get to the bottom of this Codec jungle im in, I noticed no Lame codec on illustrates pages, have it somewhere :/ also need to find out how to make Codecs show up properly so that i can "prioritise"/"control" them or just use one or the other, its confusing enough.

An Audio Video Codecs control panel better than the windows one would be nice..

    many thanks Audiophile heads ka05

For digital stuff it might be 96KHz
