Can anyone tell me if it is possible to get daP to list out all the tracks on a CD? Something like windows media does, so that you can easily choose to start by playing one of the latter tracks on the CD.

The way it works for me is that it only shows what's playing, not a list of all the tracks on the CD, thus offering the option to start playing with, for example, Track 8 first, which is what I'm hoping for. So if it will indeed do this, I could use some advice on how to set that up. ThanksComment

Re: The ONLY thing I like about windows media player
Well, thanks to anyone who has given this any thought, but I have it figured out now. If I load all the songs from a CD into playlist editor, but do not load the playlist, then I can right click on one song, and then play only that song. This allows me to preview one song at a time for possible inclusion into compilation CDs, which is exactly what I wanted. Now there is nothing that I like better about windows media player, and that makes me smile. :smile2:Last edited by g_s_49; January 24, 2007, 10:27 PM.Comment

That IS a neat discovery.
If you want to preview tracks before ripping, dBpowerAMP Music Converter (with an active trial or registered version of the Power Pack) does allow you to preview tracks from the Audio CD Input window before you rip them.
Still, it would be nice for dAP to allow you to see track names from the CD. Perhaps Spoon could add this feature to dAP in his next revision.
Best wishes,
