Strange Behavior but found solution

I found something strnage happening in in the dap.. First, i sue windows me in spanishi with 2 har disks. The first one with 1 partition and next one with 4 partitions. I have all my music files in the second hard disk, 2 partition.

The strange thing is that when i start my music collection, dap hangs and does not do anything. The solution i use (i really use a lot your program, like it, and recomend it to friends). is to open the file explorer and browse that partiion before opening my collection. then i use dap and no problem.

Any idea why these happens?

Do you have a network? It sounds like a defualt folder is selected that is really slow, and My Music Collection might be writing a file outside of its known folders. What windows version?

I use windows millenium. I am not in a network. The folders are in my pc. Need more information?
