I don't see dBpowerAMP as option for playing audio CDs

    Hi,

When I insert an audio CD, I get my list of options such as play with WMP or ROXIO, etc. I also get an option that says copy music from CD with dBPowerAMP, but I don't see an option for "Play Audio CD with dBpowerAMP player" as I would expect to see.

I would like to make it my default player but since it's not even in the list to choose from I don't know how to do this.

2.) So I hit cancel to my list of options and I manually open the "dBPA" player and then I can hit play and it will play the CD. But when the CD is done playing, the player automatically starts playing radom music from MMC. I want it to keep playing the CD. IS there a way to have it repeat the entire CD?

3.) Is there a way to have the player just stop playing the CD when it is done playing it once so that I can just hit play again and have it start the CD over when I want it to?

As it is right now, if I want to play the CD again, I have to close it and reopen teh program before it recognizes it again.

4.) Let's say I just finished playing a CD. I remove the CD and put a second one in. I would think since the program is already opened that it would auto-play the CD, but it doesn't. Is there a way to get the player to autoplay a CD when it is already opened and a CD is placed in the drive?

5.) I've also noticed that what happens when I put a second CD in after listening to a previous one, is one of two things. Either the player doesn't recognize the new CD at all or when I hit the play button, it starts with track 2 instead of 1.

Is there a way to get it to start on track 1?

5a.) Why does the player usually not recognize the CD? I have to close it again and reopen it before it will play the second CD. If I just hit play, it plays music from MMC instead.

    Thanks for the help.

Are you using dAP r2 or the latest r3 beta? Easiest way to check is to right-click on a blank part of the skin to bring up the menu. If your using dAP r2, it will simply say "dBpowerAMP" but the r3 beta says "dBpowerAMP release 3 beta x" where x is the beta number.

        Hi,

I decided to remove Roxio and I reinstalled the player to see if this would help. I do now get an option to "Play CD with dBpowerAMP" so that part works. But could you address the other questions, please?

More specifically -2.) When the CD is done playing, the player automatically starts playing radom music from MMC. I want it to keep playing the CD. IS there a way to have it repeat the entire CD?

3.) Is there a way to have the player just stop playing the CD when it is done playing it once so that I can just hit play again and have it start the CD over when I want it to?

As it is right now, if I want to play the CD again, I have to close it and reopen the program before it recognizes it again.

        Thanks,
