Pops with new Sound Blaster card

I didn't have any pops with my onboard audio. I installed Sound Blaster and now I have pops every now and then just in dbpoweramp not realplayer. I read the sticky on "pops" and it says:

To solve it select each item under 'IDE ATA/ATAPI Controllers' right click >> uninstall (click no to reboot until all are removed, uninstall Master Controller last, then reboot, Windows will refind the IDE controllers and reboot again, all should be well.
If you do this and for some reason have to reinstall the controllers will I need the XP CD? Because I don't have one.

No, you won't need the XP CD to reinstall your IDE controllers. Also, you may not need to reboot, just click Action --> "Scan for Hardware Changes" and it should pick them up and reinstall them. Then you should reboot, though.
