Does the slow down also occur when you rip to something else? e.g. wav

Can you supply details of the command line options that you have tried.

What is the speed of your CPU, your amount of RAM, your operating system?

        command lines tried:
        -b 64 -m m -f
        -b 64 -m m
        --vbr-new -V 7 -m m
        --vbr-new -m m -f

        Operating system/comp specs:
        AMD Duron 950 mhz
        384 mb ram <--- o_O
        OS: Win 2000

P.S. It works fine when i encode without any switches at all, unfortunately i need to compress the audio more than it is compressed by default.
