What crashes? The player or the converter?
Anyway, see a few other similar titled threads at the top above yours and maybe you'll find your answer. -
Re: Keeps on crashing on me
its the player, and nothing else in the other posts seems to help
the player used to work just fine and dandy, and suddenly everytime i start it up, it crashes... i can actually listen to music, but i get one of those messages
amp.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close
and then goes on to talk about lost stuff if i was in the middle of something
when i click on the more details section this is what i see
AppName: amp.exe AppVer: 4.0.2.0 ModName: amp.exe
ModVer: 4.0.2.0 Offset: 000252b7
and in that there is a link to view technical information
and it shows me this file: C:\DOCUME~1\ADMINI~1\LOCALS~1\Temp\b832_appcompat. txt
and above that is a large something in HexComment

Re: Keeps on crashing on me
Download and run the routine for re-setting dB Audio Player (dAP) to "factory specifications" from the FAQ section of the dAP forum here:
A. Some setting has changed that does not agree with your computer, run this to refresh dAP to the factory install setting: http://www.dbpoweramp.com/bin/dAPResetAll.exe
Also, if you aren't using the current dAP r3 beta 6 release from the beta section of the forum, you would be well advised to switch to that version.
Best wishes,
