OH, what a mess ... HELP

dbpowerAMP is fantastic. That said, what a mess I've got now. I have a crappy old computer with an integrated sound card, CMI 8338. I HAD been using db with perfect success. However, I decided since it's been several years, that I'd stroll over to driver sources and see if the software for my sound had been changed/upgraded. Yep, sure has. So, I downloaded the new driver(s) and the new "audio rack." After all was downloaded and installed, I found very quickly that the "audio rack" is actually a total piece of poo, not near as good as my original, and so bad that it can't find my cd and, when it does play, sounds terrible. Either way, I didn't really care, as I was using other programs anyway ... dbpower. So, fired up my db, only to find that it won't start now. I get illegal operation crap, as follows: AMP caused a divide error in module AMP.EXE at 015f:00418e38.

CRRRRRRRRaaaaaaaaappppppp, now I have nothing. I uninstalled everything, reinstalled everything. I got rid of Audio Rack all together, but still get the same error. I'm lost. Help me please!! I even tried to dump my new driver, but the stupid computer went and installed all again because of "new hardware found." I've gone braindead. Thank you in advance.

Sorry, folks, I see now that this is board for the converter, not the player. Oh well, maybe I'll copy and paste over yonder.

Have a look in the dAP FAQ on this forum, there is a section on resetting the dAP registry, it might well work.
