    I lost my music collection

No idea what actually happened but I downloaded an mp3 file from a radio station and when I went to play it it created a new "Music Collection" and was the only track showing hen I opened dbpoweramp.

I have over 4000 tracks in "Music Collection Jim" but could find it nowhere. The work involved in reassembling it is very off-putting to say the least.

In the end I had to do a System Restore. Can anyone tell me how to change which music collection is played and where the files are stored in case this happens again?

    Many thanks.

IIRC, the current music collection is stored in the dBPowerAMP install folder (by default C:\Program Files\Illustrate\dBpowerAMP) with a file that is the same name as the user name. You can also go to MMC and click the Collection button then click "Save As". Its also a good idea to back-up your saved Music Collection every now and then in case something like this happens.

You do indeed remember correctly - that is exactly where it is and how it is labelled. Thank you.
