Graphics widgets not appearing in the right places

I've just gotten a new system and installed dbPowerAMP on it. Some of the graphics widgets aren't appearing in the right place. The problem appears most consistently with the search box in my music collection. It appears below where it should be and too far to the right, so that it overlaps with the "Collection" button. Also when I type something into the box and then backspace it, the characters don't go away.

This is a brand new install on a new system. I uninstalled dBpowerAMP player, downloaded it again, and reinstalled it, but that did not fix the problem.

I assume that this problem is occuring with dBpowerAMP Audio Player (dAP) and with that program only. Have you tried downloading and running the utility for resetting the dAP registery here: http://forum.dbpoweramp.com/showthread.php?t=403 ?

It appears dBpowerAMP was suffering from two separate problems. I changed my computer's DPI setting to normal (the factory shipped it as "large" for some reason) and now the controls appear in the right place. However, I still have the problem that text in the search box doesn't go away when I backspace it. Unlike the first problem, I have not found anywhere outside of the player where this problem occurs. Resetting the registry did not fix the problem.

Sounds like there is something non-standard running (perhaps a windows skinning system)? that text box is just a standard windows text box, nothing special about it.
