I use both the player and the CD writer and since installing the cd writer my player no longer plays random, I have to keep clicking next to hear another song, player worked before installing the writer.I'm using XP Pro

Are you using dAP release 2 or the new release 3 beta? Try using the latest dAP beta linked to below.
