macos Encoding settings don't persist as expected

When I modify the encoding details, for example changing LAME mp3 to VBR or toggle any of the Advanced settings under encoding they don't persist after closing the Sync Settings dialog. Changing the type of encoding, Ogg Vorbis for example, does persist. However, again the finer details (quality) don't. Strangely going from LAME->Ogg Vorbis->LAME does end up changing the details for LAME, with no path back to the original configuration. Other settings, like processing or source filtering work as expected.

My configuration is creating a sync to a new local directory sourced from my local music library.
