So does anyone out there who uses perfect tunes, use IDtags and if so would you please rip a cd in BWF MP2 and see if it will allow you to write track details please so that when you load it in to your wav player it shows the tracks in number order instead of alphabetical order.

You cannot rip CDs using PerfectTUNES, paid version or trial version.

The answer is, if mp3tag is able to read the tags, then they are present, the issue is virtual dj is not reading the tags. It is nothing to do with trial, or registered, perhaps contact the writers of that software to find out why it is not reading the tags.

Hi, I am not sure what exactly is 'mp3tag', please. Is it something within PerfTUNES or dBpa? I think it is different from Edit Tag ID. Much appreciated, Paul.

MP3Tag is not Illustrate software. It is free tag editing software, have a look here: MP3Tag

IMO it is the best tag editor, bar none.

Hi,

I am currently using the trial version of both dBpa and PerfectTUNES on my home PC. This is because I am considering running it on a second machine (I already have the paid for versions on my work PC).

I use foobar to play back my FLACs.

I completed of the TAG data in dBpa just before performing each rip.

This is how is it showing up when I inspect the TAG data using the options available:







All appears to be showing in full.

BUT, I am not sure, because I am on the trial versions, if these will actually show up on a playback system which is compatible with displaying such data. I mean, with reference to this screenshot:



... I am not quite sure how to interpret this notice? Does it mean that - because it is a trial version - the data is saved quasi-fantom (ie. the user-typed data appears in the TAG but will not show up on the playback device)?

Any clarification would be appreciated as I have been using the trial versions for nearly one week now, and have ripped many CDs using it!

MP3Tag is not Illustrate software. It is free tag editing software, have a look here: MP3Tag

IMO it is the best tag editor, bar none.

Thanks mville, It looks interesting! Its called 'mp3' but it appears to facilitate a multitude of formats? Paul.

Correct. Many (most) formats. I use it for advanced tag editing.

No. But I think you have your hands full learning the basics of dbpa. I'd focus on that. And if you need help on mp3tag, they have their own forum for that purpose.

Huh? As I noted earlier, mp3tag works with most formats, including FLAC.
