Re: Why offer a free trial

Thread is locked for these reasons:

    1) Multiple discussions all blended into one
    2) Direct links given to competitive software, we really do not like these guys, they exist in Australia and use our registered Trademarks (dBpoweramp) for pulling people to their software, and other distasteful practices.
    3) Talk on this thread of bundle and adware, we work hard to never do this, someone reading might get confused that it is us that supplies this malware.

    OK, fair enough. Cheers.

I'd say quite a lot. These ads are on a lot of download pages, so they must be working in their nefarious fashion. It's why foobar no longer displays Google ads.

Nope. It's the dark red text underneath the last line in your posted image, reading exactly as I showed above.

Or follow mville's link. He beat me by a hair, and got the English download page besides!

Why were we punted to the German page? Ah, because we didn't click on the "English" button in the upper right corner of the home page. D'oh!

To get to the real download page, look just under the orange page header. You'll see text reading, "HOME DOWNLOAD UNTERSTÜTZEN [...]". Clicking on the DOWNLOAD text takes you to the proper page (the ad is there, too). Click on the "mp3tagv284asetup.exe" text link (in dark red) to download.
When I updated, a few days ago, I didn't notice any advertising, just went straight to the .exe file.

I wonder how many people have blind spots, as far as advertising is concerned?
