    Converting Files

I am in the process of converting all of my mp3 files (about 25000) from various bit-rates(mostly 192 and 256) down to 160 in order to free up space on my hard drive and make more room for more music( I am obsessed). Instead of freeing up disk space it used up disk space. I was only able to convert approx. 1000 files and it used up the last 800MB of disk space. The files that I converted appear to be at 160kbps and the files sound fine. I have my settings set to delete after conversion. Any idea where my disk space has gone to and how to get it back?

    thanks,
    Heater

Sounds to me like the original files didn't delete or something...

But where would it be? I have checked for duplicates and in the recycle bin, but have not found anything

        Re: Converting Files

My guess is that the space might be taken up by temporary files.
If that is the case, I would think that re-starting the computer might dlete the temporary files and restore space. If I'm wrong its still a very simple test.

        Best wishes,
        Bill
