I am having great difficulty getting Auxilliary Input to work as I want.
If I use an "external" sound source [connected to my sound card via line in] then I can record wave/mp3 files just fine using Auxilliary Input. If I try and capture anything "internal" ie something that's playing thru my sound card (like winamp music radio/cds/msn radio etc) I have no success at all.
I have tried all the standard options to no avail. eg. I tried all of the possible "record" options including "line in", "stereo mix" and "Aux". Aux produces silence. Stereo mix produces awesome looping feedback which very nearly blew the house down (literally) but it proved impossible to get a decent signal that I can use from any of these options. I am at a loss for what to try next. Any suggestions?
In case you wanna know. I am running XP Pro on a MSI K8 series motherboard using the built in ac sound card/audio system.
