One more thing: it looks like artwork in the tag is not preserved with the other tag info.

Artwork in tags is not supported on any format, sorry.

Use Below Normal priority - it's actually faster than Above Normal or Normal.

So as I said, this fixes the general problem, however art is not transferred over with the rest of the ID3 tag information.

Also, with what I think are the same settings, converting music moves at a crawl, even with "above normal" priority set. Before I reinstalled the processing speed was not bad, but now I am getting 0.3X or less.

No real change. I had it at above normal before as well. Is there anytihng else that might affect the processing speed greatly?

Well, it has to be Below Normal priority, forget about Above Normal or even Normal.

              0.3x speed is unacceptable.

Any DSP effects that you are applying during conversion? Remove them completely.

What are input specs for your flac files and output specs for your mp3 files? bitrate, frequency, channels.

Did you try a test conversion (no write) for the flac files? What speed are you getting?

Artwork in tags cannot be kept with the tags in the current version. The standard portion of the tags should be retained, but verify your dMC Configuration to see what settings you used for ID Tags.

Well that was weird. I decided to clear out my installation again after downloading the r2 registered version of CD-Writer and installed it first THEN installed DBPA 11.5 and it seems to be back to normal now.

Still, the art in the id3 tag is not being preserved. Is this a known issue?

Oh, by the way, I am now getting about 2.6X using the Pro Frequency Conversion. On a Athlon 1.4 GHz is that typical?

The art in tags is NOT preserved. It's a well known issue. I think we said that several times in this and other threads.

Christina, forgive me, I am not finding other threads regarding the art issue, other that it is know. Are you aware of this something being worked on for the next release? Is there a workaround so that would say take the artwork from a cover artwork file in that folder and put it in the tag?

Re: FLAC -> MP3 loses tags

Spoon said back in March that maybe in the next release (which now has passed, so maybe next one in 4-6 more months), but the difficulty lies in there being no standard way it is currently implemented now either by various programs.

Incidentally the frist thread at the top here in Similar threads at least does talk about art work as well.

Bottom line is: artwork is not supported right now in any conversion.
