Sorry for the confusion guy,

Without any manual movement of the sliders at all, i cant tell any difference
(sound-wise) between the EQ pre-sets of Pop, Dance, or Classical. Using
whatever they are set as. I do see the line (in the EQ window) move but my
ears cannot tell the diff.... Thats why i blame my ears, if others can tell the diff
and i dont, nothing left but the ears.

Which is how this thread got started. Wondering if other pre-sets were available.

you say it might be because you cant hear well. but if it wern't for the fact that you can hear the difference in winamp and WMP makes me think differently and there is something else wrong. if you push all the sliders up in the dap EQ you hear no difference?

Yes, i can hear a difference when i push the sliders up and/or down.

ok so perhaps it is subtle difference you don't hear? i'm a bit like that too having to crank things up a little :D

I just did a complete (clean) re-install of all dBpower components.
It sounds a little better now and i can hear subtle differences if i listen real hard.
I think the new fixed it. Tip: Don't ever grow old. :smile2:

I see a small change in the new install -
I used to have the small jukebox for the player and the cdplayer, now they
dont show as a selectable icon.

Change subject:
Are there any visualizations available for the player yet?
When i click on plug-ins (in the player) both visual output and DSP windows
are blank. Is this a future added attraction or is some available now?

no not yet. there is a thread floating around somewhere that allowed a 3rd party visuals. when directX capabilities come alive in dap i think that's when visual modules etc.. will be tested.
