If you launch Audio CD Input do you have the ability to preview tracks before ripping them? This is one of a number of features added by the powerpack, are any of them available to you?

It could be that your are running some software on your PC which may be interfering with the edit tag features. Unfortunately all I can suggest is to remove dMC and the powerpack completely and attempt a reinstallation.

What about different audio files? WMA, Ogg Vorbis can you edit the tags with them (it would rule out somwthing messing with dMC.Comment
