Why does it take so long to convert from .CDA to .WAV?

It's taking like 15-20 minutes to convert ONE track from CDa to WAV? Is something wrong? Please help!

What operating system are you running? Have you tried a test rip and if so, how long does it take?

Does it only happen for this CD? If it does what are your dMC Audio configuration settings?

      Hey,

      Thanks for your help.

I'm running on Windows 98 and I burn cd's using another program, so I never tried burning using this program.

And no, this is occuring with several of my CD's, not just a specific one. My dMC settings is as follows, there's 2 types I have, the Audio CD config. and just dMC config., here is the Audio CD config:

      CD Communication: ASPI
      Command Set: MMC
      (Read CD Text is enabled.)

Now dMC Config. is as follows:

"Convert to" on explorer right click is checked.
Popup info tips in explorer is checked

      ID3 Tag Formation: Smart v1 & v2
Proffesional Frequency Conversion is NOT checked.

Please let me know if there's something i'm missing and i'll post it up.

      Thanks again.

Try ripping to 'test conversion' and tell us the speed it shows.
