occasionally i have to convert a large batch of .mp3's. i use File Selector for this. i go from .mp3 to .wav and then to .wma. my problem is that when i convert this large batch of .mp3's, i sometimes get an error message. the error message reads "Unable to write to 'C:\My Music\band\cd\song.wma', disk full?". and have no idea why it happens. i dont use the comp while converting cause it slows everything down. im running Win98SE on a 233 MGHZ Pentium II (yes its old, dont remind me). i have the newest .wma codec. if you know how to help me, email me at mj91588@yahoo.com as ill probably forget to check back here.

Re: please help me
i have two hard drives. one is 80GB and the other is 20GB. the bigger one i use for music. i am not even close to running out of space. the .mp3's i'm converting are average size, between 3 and 7 megabytes. the bitrate sometimes varies, but its usually 128 or 192.Comment

Re: please help me
Try reconverting a mp3 file that does not convert to wave, does it convert to wave?Comment

Re: please help me
i only asked about the size of your collection you are converting because you said it was large. for every 100 mp3's going to wav you are looking around 3-4 GIG in hardrive space. a lot of people around here deal with 10's of thousands of mp3's. so thats why i asked about your definition of a large batch of mp3's.Comment
