If you start batch converter from its icon, does it show? Which Windows version do you have?

No, it does not appear but "dBpoweramp Batch Converter" is in the processes. The Windows version is Windows 10 Pro version 10.0.19041 Build 19041.

regedit

Browse to:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Illustrate\dBpoweramp

and delete:

dMC-FileSelector-b
dMC-FileSelector-l
dMC-FileSelector-NotMax
dMC-FileSelector-r
dMC-FileSelector-t

Hi Spoon, followed the procedure exactly restarted the pc after every operation, reinstalled but no difference, I’m afraid.

Sorry for the long delay in replying. I use mcafee but i decided to completely reinstall windows and start again as other things weren’t right. All good now.
