I just upgraded to R16 from R15 in Windows 10, but when I try to do a conversion (either by right-clicking from Windows Explorer or from the dBpoweramp Music Converter preogram), I get the following error:
Error converting to m4a FDK (AAC), <old filename> to <new filename> Error: Unable to load encoder 'm4a FDK (AAC)'. [dBCoreConverter::dBCoreConverter]
and:
Error converting to Windows Media Audio 10, <old filename> to <new filename> Error: Unable to load encoder 'Windows Media Audio 10'. [dBCoreConverter::dBCoreConverter]
I tried downloading and installing the codecs from the website here, and no change.
The codecs do not show as installed in the dBpoweramp Configuration program, but looking in the C:\Program Files\dBpoweramp directory, shows the "Windows Media Audio 10.dll" in the encoder subdirectory, and the "fdkaac.exe" in the encoder\m4a FDK (AAC) subdirectory.
I tried uninstalling the program and codecs and reinstalling, no change. Tried uninstalling and reinstalling R15 with the old codecs, and that didn't work. Tried uninstalling and wiping out the registry entries for dBpoweramp, along with the dBpoweramp directory in Appdata and reinstalling. No luck. Please help!
