dMC Level Settings: Encoding Lossless to Lossless

This question has probably been posted and responded to in many guises, because my searches fail to turn up a clear-cut answer:

What is the lossless level setting I should use when I encode one lossless format into another? Take for example converting APE to FLAC. Since both APE and FLAC formats are lossless, I assume that just any of the proffered lossless level options will do. Is this assumption correct, or is there perhaps a hidden spike somewhere I should look out for?

Thank you for this outstanding application.

Any setting (compression setting) is ok.
