    DSD to FLAC 16/44.1

    Hey there!
I'm planning to convert DSD64 to FLAC 16/44.1, and after browsing the web, I’ve come up with a few questions:
    1. What should the ideal DSP chain look like for conversion? (a) What goes before what, and (b) If I hear a "click" after conversion, what DSP should I add and in what order?
    2. I want to get all tracks to have roughly the same volume. Would normalizing based on true peak work for this? Would it affect the audio quality in any way? How should I do this and where should it go in the DSP chain?

Thanks a lot for your help and for taking the time to read my questions!

I also wanted to add something: I want to permanently normalize the volume of this audio, preferably for the entire album at once (so there’s no clipping). Ideally, I want to do it in a way that doesn't affect the quality. I still haven't figured out how to determine the right amount of gain for each song, and I also can't convert them in such a way that I can apply different gain values for each track at once

In the codec options (dBpoweramp Control Center)

Set DSD to decode as 44KHz and 24bit

      Use the following DSP effects:

Volume Normalize : Set to EBR 128 Track Gain

I would recommend keeping as 24 bit if want maximum quality after normalizing as gives more bit head room, however you could add the DSP 'Bit Depth' to the end of the list to set to 16 bit.
