    For what it's worth....if you really aren't using Windows Media Player, I would strongly advise you to completely disable it. It's very easy to do, it would remove all those WMP context menu entries, and you don't have to mess with the registry. (If you're not comfortable editing the registry, and there's no reason the general user should be, you really shouldn't be doing it.)

    WMP can be a very invasive, troublesome program.....so there are other good reasons to disable it if you're not using it.

        I doubt you would have avoided the issue with dBpoweramp R15. It appears your security software was the culprit, blocking the necessary changes to the registry. What security/anti-virus software are you using?
