Why do you need to get the flac encoder (v.1.2.0) and place within db poweramp converter?
Why not just install the latest dBpoweramp and install flac v.1.2.0, using the flac v.1.2.0 .exe separately, via Flac frontend or something similar?
... just tested FLAC frontend v2.1-portable (replacing flac.exe and metaflac.exe with the flac-1.2.0-win versions) and encoded a 24/96 flac with no problems.

Thanks for your reply.. I'm a bit of a novice so would you please explain fully what I need to do.
Also when you complete the conversion did it show as codec flac v.1.2.0?

1. Go here https://xiph.org/flac/download.html , click FLAC Frontend>Browse older and portable versions. Download the FLAC frontend v2.1-portable.zip file and extract to FLAC frontend v2.1-portable folder.
2. Go here https://xiph.org/flac/download.html , click Windows: FLAC for Windows (command-line tools only)>flac-1.2.0-win. Download flac-1.2.0-win.zip and extract to flac-1.2.0-win folder.
3. In flac-1.2.0-win>bin folder, copy the flac.exe and metaflac.exe v.1.2.0 files to FLAC frontend v2.1-portable\tools folder (overwriting the v.1.3.0 versions).
4. In FLAC frontend v2.1-portable folder run either FLAC frontend-NET20.exe or FLAC frontend-NET40.exe, depending on which version of the .NET framework you have installed.

Thanks for the full instructions..I'm very grateful.
Would it be possible to use this just by overwriting the flac in file in dbpoweramp so I convert to 1.2.0?
or by using this flac1.2.0 in dsp CLI encoder?
If possible this would be a better option so I can do all the dsp's together whilst converting.
