wma additional codec does not install properly

    Hi,

i just installed latest version DBpoweramp r15 and wanted to convert my wma files to mp3. Apparently, I needed to install the additional WMA codec on the codec central page which I did. However, problem is not solved. I still got the message: Error: Unable to load decoder for file type '.wma', codec not installed? visit 'Codec Central'. [dBCoreConverter::dBCoreConverter]

I am using Windows 7 - Windows Media Player 12

    please your advice
    Tks
    Alec

It is likely you have 32bit R14 and 64 bit R15 installed, see:

The 64 bit release of dBpoweramp will only work correctly with 64 bit codecs. In Codec Central the codecs which are indicated as 32 bit only will not work with the 64 bit version of dBpoweramp. CD Writer CD Writer cannot be compiled to 64 bit, it is 32 bit only.

Check the link in my post above to make sure there is no dbconfig.exe left over, also note you cannot install the 32 bit and 64 bit programs to the same location, even if the 32 bit program has been uninstalled.
